Nice but inexpensive underwear?

Want to treat myself to a nice set of underwear (just mc'd and can't try again for a couple of months, so obv bf bras and horrid non-wire monstrosities not needed for a while yet).

I like a bit of padding since DS happened to my original pert (ish, anyway) norks. Like silk and lovely textures, not too keen on really heavy embroidery - just something fresh and pretty, or nice and retro.

Oh, and have v little spare cash.

Am C cup.

I may also be the only woman in Britain who doesn't own a single item of M&S lingerie.

Given all that, anyone got any ideas on where to start? TIA

La senza?

Second vote for La Senza. I have an assortment of stuff from there. Their basic balconette bras are gorgeous - give a lovely shape, quite cheap and last for ages - my current batch are 2 years old this summer).

Very sorry about the mc. I've had one so know how it feels.

Third vote for La Senza. Their stuff is reasonably priced but is still very good quality. I usually hate lace, but their lace briefs don't make me itch, which is nothing short of a miracle

If you want to go for slightly more expensive stuff, how about figleaves

Avoid Ann Summers like the plague. Their underwear costs a small fortune, but is very very cheap-looking.

Princess Tam Tam

Another vote for Princess Tam Tam here. I'm a bit wary of La Senza as everything they have in their windows is rather tacky-looking but perhaps I should venture inside and give it a try?

Mind you, most of my underwear is from M&S - they do some really pretty bras and are v cheap. It's worth trying a large branch though as a lot of the smaller branches don't stock the nice stuff and only have boulder-holders or hideous lace things...
