Confused with so many facial products to use

I got lazy while PG and for the first few months after DD was born. Just starting to realise the results on my skin. SO have splashed out on sme new products and trying to be good about cleanse, tone, moisturise.... everybody knows that routine, but what about all these other miracle products which are going to make a new and radiant me? I got some No. 7 protect & perfect beauty serum and sanctuary radiance boosting facial oil... where do they fit into the scheme? Do they both need to be used both morning an night or can I use, say, P&P serum in the morning and the oil at night? (it leaves my skin feeling greasy so don't fancy wearing it all day) Any tips and suggested routines greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would wear the P&P in the day and the oil under a nightcream at night-maybe not every night, but 3 times per week as an extra boost. I would also suggest a facial exfoliator twice per week as part of your morning routine. Liz Earle hot polish or Eve Lom Cleanser. Both come with a muslin cloth. Eve Lom is £££ though

I don't know your skin type, but as well as your twice daily routine of cleanse, tone and moisturise, I would recommend that you give yourself a weekly facial. Double cleanse, exfoliate (only lightly if you have dry or sensitive skin) steam (not suitable for dry/ sensitive skin or skin with broken capillaries) massage and mask suitable to your skin type, moisturise. Sweep over face with toner after each step.
You can mix and match you exfoliator, mask and massage cream. But always have matching cleanser, toner and moisturisers, or they wont work properly.
I don't believe that any of the anti ageing products have any lasting effect and that a good routine if far more beneficial. But there are thousands of women and men out there that would disagree with me!

I find my skin is happy if i don't keep chopping and changing my routine and products, also the less products i use the better.

I've had good results with liz earl cleanser, which also gently exfoilates, can't use anything too rough, then the liz earl moisturiser and eye serum at night, i do use the no7 eye cream and serum in the mornings aswell as the liz earl moisturiser.

I would probably use the facial oil at night a couple of times a week, depending on skin type instead of a moisturiser.

THank you ladies for your replies. Swan78 when I read your reply, I thought "this sounds like a pro"....then I checked your profile.... wanna come give me a facial?? Pretty please!? Some great tips there, thank you. And I didn't know about sticking to matching cleanser, toner & moisturiser, I'm on all different at the mo, but I'll need to use them up before I change that. miche8, maybe that's why my skin is so bad, from all the chopping and changing...and I think I will do as you and deliciousdevilwoman suggest with the facial oil at night.
Swan78, your reply has put me in the mood for a pamper-myself night tonight.. I'd love a good soak in the bath and give myself a facial as you describe while I'm at it.Candles lit, the whole works.... ooohh! Let's hope DD and DH can fit in with this plan ....if not maybe at the weekend....mother's day is coming up THanks again for all the advice.
xx
