Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Hand Cream is a bluddy miracle

My hands are always pretty dry but never more so then when dealing with the delights of clearing up after DD2 who has rampant D and V. The past few days have been a non-stop whirl of washing up the sick bowl, scrubbing PJs and bedding, and bathing DD2. My order of Liz Arden 8 Hour Hand Cream just arrived (good price from www.fragrancedirect.com) and my hands look like somebody else's - a smooth young person's for example, after only one application!

I had to share....

Mine has just had the D&V too, so I hear ya!

I am using the new double strength Q10 Plus Nivea Hand and it is coping quite well - I am impressed with it.

I have always wanted to try the 8 hour stuff though. Thanks for the tip.

It is a firm favorite here to. Pity it stinks to high heaven

NoBiggy · 09/03/2010 13:27

Stinks of what?

paulaplumpbottom · 09/03/2010 13:31

Just stinks. It was originally intended for horse hooves.

Vivia · 09/03/2010 14:12

It does stink, doesn't it - like rotten eggs. I can't use it for this reason

janmoomoo · 09/03/2010 14:20

Agree, it is good but it doesnt smell nice at all. Smells like an ointment/medicine rather than a beauty cream.

Prunerz · 09/03/2010 14:36

I like the smell - sort of like coal tar soap and rosemary.

I haven't used the hand cream though, but desperately need it .

SpawnChorus · 09/03/2010 14:38

Smells of Preparation H...so a friend told me.

I love, love, love the original 8 hour stuff - the smell doesn't bother me one little bit.

But the hand cream? Good though it is the smell does put me off. It's pretty strong.

purplepeony · 09/03/2010 15:08

It works but it smells of TCP or something like that.

Sparkletastic · 09/03/2010 16:32

How weird - I totally agree that 8 Hour Cream proper smells somewhat medicinal (although I love it all the same) but the hand cream doesn't have the same smell at all I don't think. It is much milder / more soapy-smelling and isn't the same sticky formula so sinks in immediately. BUT - I have got a cold so could be that I'll agree with you once the snot subsides
