I have bought a dress for a ball - tried it on last night, it's lovely but full of static!! Kept sticking to my legs, not a good look. How can I get rid of it???

hairspray!

Rub a bounce sheet over the inside of it-really works!

I have been full of static today, I think it's something to do with the weather (and no I am not wearing a ball dress!)

Yep, hairspray definitely works. I spray it on the underside of the dress and against my legs or tights.

Oooh! I need to know this. I exude static, gets shocks off lift buttons, stop watches working, make train doors go funny- will a bounce sheet work if I rub it over me?

BendyBob · 08/03/2010 21:21

I have heard that pinning a safety pin in the hem works but never tried it.

rub a metal coat hanger all over it.

PMSL at a mental image of Poppity rubbing herself with a bounce sheet!! Sounds x-rated!!
Am going to try metal hanger, bounce sheet and hairspray. Thanks.
