...what was it like, was it any good?? does it hurt, how long do the effects last etc?? (thats if anyone will admit to it!!!hehe)

....i turned 30 last november and recently have noticed i am looking a bit tired and rough

i am slim and quite pretty despite having 2 kids, but think i am starting to look my age now ...despite being really careful about using sunscreen every day, eating well, drinking loads of water, not smoking etc...

and i have been considering trying it....but dont want it to be really obvious, because i look ok, but just want to look a bit "fresher" iyswim??

I promised myself a major overhaul once I've had kids. I've had one baby and feel like an absolute wreck, hence I might well not have any more - so I can bring forward the (much needed) overhaul. Every cloud...

Teeth are also on the list. Is it better to speak to your regular dentist about cosmetic dentistry or will they sell you themselves rather than an expert?

How long did it take you to recover from the peel? Were you restricted from going out in sunlight at all?

herethereandeverywhere, deliciousdevilwoman is spot on....fillers will not turn you into Lesley Ash: there's a bit of a misconception that she had fillers when in fact she had liquid silicone injected into her lip (the same stuff that recently killed that poor Claudia Adotimi girl in her butt), it solidified and made that awful trout pout that can't be easily removed!!! Fillers either just plump up (lip body) or define the cupid's bow (lip border)...really nice.

And yeah, you'd be suprised how many people are having treatments nowadays! Virtually all my mummy friends have something done, and I'm only 26! I just get naso-labial line fillers with juvederm smile (really nice and light) in the area running down the sides of my nose to mouth....& a bit of botox for my frown lines. I think it's better to start younger as a preventative...but I wouldn't want a fake "frozen" look so don't go too often. Any good Aesthetic Practitioner will insist on Little & Often anyway...not good for their reputation to make you look awful!!!

In terms of cost...did you know you can be a Model & still get treatment by Medically Qualified professionals??? Cosmetic Courses in the Home Counties (Oxfordshire) do this option. It makes treatment less than half the price of in a private clinic & I've never had bad treatment, although have had to wait a really long time sometimes. Worth it though, for that price! They've got a really good Facebook page that I've joined so I get to see treatments & discounts as they come up...but for you you might like to see other people's comments as it's more reassuring isn't it? There are other companies too that do this I think if you need one local to you....

ive had it twice. im 52 and wish id started at age 40 when the frown line betwween my brows started. it is fab. the celebs overdo it cos they can. mylady focuses on subtlety. i pay 175 for one area. i would rather spend on botox than on clothes or expensive face creams. as someone said theres a fleeting ouch moment near the outside bony area , like pricking your finger. i love botox. ive had fillers on naso labial but i didnt need it really. however i will be getting my tear troughs done in sept. this is a pic of me, people say i dont look my age.

Is it any good? Yes
Does it hurt? Yes but not much
How long does it last? Depends on the person, the stage of wrinkles and the area of skin but on me about 6-7 months.

Go reputable.

brimfull I'm 48 too, have always hated my 11s and have just had my second lot. The 11s haven't totally gone mine are very deep . Only fillers would totally remove them, but they have softened and apparently the effects improve with regular use a bit like waxing reducing hair after longterm use. I'm giving it a year to decide if I will continue.

pudding25 · 28/07/2015 22:44

myrightfoot you look about 20 years younger!

I am 43. Just in the last year, I am beginning to feel that I am looking older. Does botox work for the lines that go down the side of your mouth if you know what I mean?

MyRightFoot · 28/07/2015 22:51

pudding, thank u. i think botox will fixactual wrinkles around the mouth. but naso labial folds thst run from nose to mouth corners will need filler. i paid 250 for filler, the filler also
boosts collagen production and lasts 18 months.

TattyDevine · 28/07/2015 23:30

I do it. I have 2 areas which is between the brows and the forehead. I pay £225 (officially 250 but they give me 10% discount for loyalty)

You don't have to look silly with it - a lot of schlebs look weird and shiny because they also overdo the peels which give them a waxy look which the botox gets blamed for.

It is liberating not being able to frown properly, its like you don't feel as frustrated when you would normally frown, it sort of makes you feel less frowny as well as be literally less frowny? IFSWIM

I'm not completely frozen I can move my face enough to show expressions but not dynamically enough to cause an actual crease.

I am tempted with fillers for the tear troughs though which make me look like I have a bit of a bag under the eyes - so I might end up looking like Michael Jackson if I keep at it lol. I might save that one for my 40th. I"m nearly 39. Started having it at 35 ish I think. Maybe 34. I let it wear off before having it again as well and I'm convinced my skin is better than if I'd never had it.
