Is all the branded makeup etc on ebay nicked stuff or what?

How come it is so cheap and where do they get it from ?

Or are the fakes?

I bought a Lancome mascara and was convinced it was a fake- got it for around £7 instead of £19. I had bought the same item many times from different sellers on ebay but this was a new person and I am convinced it was fake- slightly different to the one I had already ( from J Lewis), no serial/stock code on tube which all Lancome stuff has , and the gold lettering was a different gold colour. Also, the brush was different to any I had ever had.

I took it up with the seller- who had by then closed down his ebay account and opened another one in another name (avoiding neg feedback)- I also took it up with ebay but no luck- they needed proof from the makers that it was fake.
