Right, having decided on the dress, the earrings, necklace and shoes, I need a gold cover-up

I'm going for this dress red long ASOS
Toast gladiator sandals
and my lovely gold necklace with dangly earrings
But I will need a shawl or gold waterfall cardigan
(will be 39 weeks at party so has to be drapy)
I popped into Tie Rack yesterday which has nothing.
Has anyone seen anything?

I think the Toast sandals are lovely, and was thinking of getting some for a garden party this summer - have you worn yours yet?
can you report if they are comfortable?
Good luck with finding your cardi - the dress is stunning.

I can't really find anything, i think I will have to take a chance with a shawl from Amazon, 'Pashminas4U' etc which don't fill me with trust, but we shall see
I haven't tried M+S, will go and have a search now
The sandals are comfy, I got mine last summer and I keep gazing at them and thinking of warm days

this? dress is lovely

DarrellRivers · 07/03/2010 11:34

It's out of stock on-line
I may wander into M+S and take a look, but I can't find any measurements, it looks like a scarf rather than a shawl
better colour wise but look small

dreamkeeper have some lovely big shawls/cover ups in lots of different colours. They are available on QVCUK.com. I have a 'one enchanted evening' one in silver colour but it is really a pale minky gold which is fab and I wear it as a scarf with jeans and t-shirt as well as using it for a cover up.

DarrellRivers · 07/03/2010 11:51

yes, clure, had seen those
And agree, not sure of quality
Will go with the JL one, as even though pricier, am sure will wear again as I find pashminas very useful over evening outfits and gold is a lovely colour, plus goes will quite a few gold shoes that I have
Thanks to all of you, now I have a fab outfit, am bound to go into labour just before so that I can't wear it
Will be keeping tag on the dress, at least the pashmina can be worn to other events
