Help - what do I wear to a gig?

Ok, I've not been to a small standing gig for years but am going to see Paolo Nutini at Scala in London in April (so excited!) and don't have a clue what to wear.

I'm 43 (but look younger - honest ), and a tall (5'10")size 12.

I'm guessing it's going to be pretty hot and sweaty as only a small venue so my initial thought of jeans is probably not a great one...

Any ideas please?

oooh i love gigs, i am more of a rock gig person though!!

i tend to wear chunky new rock biker type boots, with a tiny denim skirt or denim shorts and a band t shirt! went to a gig saturday night, just a mates band in a pub, and wore that very outfit!!! i have a guns n roses t shirt which i have customised so the backs all ripped, looks amazing.

Scala's a nice venue, dh played there a few months ago - his band were supporting the Eden House. (Who are utterly fabulous ).

I'd wear jeans tbh, it's big enough not to get too sweaty - lots of high ceilings as I remember!

mine are a bit like that actually!! they are not actual new rocks, they are sella. (basically a slightly cheaper version of nr)

they are amazing for gigs as i can actually see the action!! i am only 5 foot 2 so i need a bit of height, i went to sonisphere last year and had a fantastic view.

I got my transmuters in tokyo when we went over to see NIN... never mind the fact that most of the locals were lucky if they were over 5''5 but i looked like a massive tranny next to them.

Fantastic view though!

Went to see Paolo not long back - he was great, you'll have a fab time.

Deffo second leggings/skinnies with a tunic and converse, or funky t-shirt and jeans and converse.

Be comfy.
