What sort of price range?

miche8 · 05/03/2010 20:26

Estee lauder is the best i've found.....and the no7 one is also quite good if i can't afford the el one.

cyb · 05/03/2010 20:26

I bought some Clinique City Block from ebay and I like it

mazzystartled · 05/03/2010 20:29

City Block is good - but weirdly not moisturising enough for me

I am using Bobbi Brown - it's excellent - people keep saying how well I look (ridiculously pregnant and look grey before I put it on), and skin is really nice. Bit highly perfumed at first for my liking.

Lots of people swear by Laura Mercier

apple99 · 05/03/2010 20:29

I have been using the Boots No 7 tinted moisturiser, tis quite nice .

JamAndPeanutButter · 05/03/2010 20:30

Don't mind spending a bit for one that's nice - with SPF preferably.

Second for Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier if you want an oil free one.

nowwhatdoido · 05/03/2010 20:40

I like the Laura Mercier one, and also Virgin Vie. Not so fussed about the Creme de la Mer one I forked out over £50 for.

Sunshinemummy · 05/03/2010 20:49

Chantecaille Just Skin - it is seriously amazing and makes you look 10 years younger.

notquitenormal · 05/03/2010 20:57

I use Benefit You Rebel. It has SPF 15 and is one of the very few about that is light enough for me in colour and consistency. I wear it every day and it lasts ages.

KristinaM · 05/03/2010 22:20

can anyone recommend one that is yellow tones and not pink? A bit like the Chanel one only cheaper?

hellymelly · 05/03/2010 22:25

the Laura Mercier one is really lovely and made me look a hundred times better...and then I broke out in a rach after three days,I am allergic to it and I am gutted so I will be watching this thread to see if there is an alternative.

tulpe · 05/03/2010 23:50

Chanel's tinted moisturiser has spf15 and gives excellent coverage. A little goes a long way and it feels very nourishing to the skin.

pointsmakeprizes · 06/03/2010 09:05

i like the Laura Mercier one - best used with the primer underneath. It comes in an oil free version as well which I like. Has spf 20 so higher than other brands - expensive but a little goes a long way and will last you a while.

EldonAve · 06/03/2010 09:07

another Laura Mercier vote

suiledonne · 06/03/2010 09:08

Another vote for the Benefit You Rebel one, although I think I have the You Rebel Lite.

I normally don't wear makeup but I was shopping with a friend and the girl at the Benefit counter gave me a quick make over with the You Rebel and the Sugar Bomb blusher and the difference was amazing.

Light and natural but I look fresher faced and less tired.

Love it.

It has SPF.

I definitely need a yellow rather than pink tone and it suits me fine.

returningstress · 06/03/2010 10:20

I use boots No7 and really like it, also it has SPF 15.

KristinaM · 06/03/2010 12:09

"Light and natural but I look fresher faced and less tired"

oh that sounds wonderful - my ideal in make up!!! must try it, thanks

Earlybird · 06/03/2010 12:15

sunshinemummy - do you wear primer under the Chantecaille?

I use it too (with primer first), and really like it. But it is a hideously expensive product line, and everytime I run out of something/buy more, I always think there must be another line out there that does virtually the same thing for significantly less.

I like the packaging very much though.

suiledonne · 06/03/2010 12:18

Kristina - I think it is the combined effect of the tinted moisturisr and blush that gives me that look.

I have to admit that given my normal bare faced look anything would be an improvement though.
