How can i mail nail varnish???

I recently sent a nice new nail polish to a friend in the U.S. I could not believe it when, three days later, it came back, out of it's envelope. I was told that I was not allowed to send it by mail as it is flammable? Please someone tell me how millions of people send millions of beauty products around the world and they do not have my problem

No idea but is it a USA thing?

I´m sure I´ve bought nail varnish from ebay-within the same country, & it was just in bubble wrap& a padded envelope.

Maybe it´s a customs problem?

it is a royal mail,dhl,fedex,ups thing, but , as diddi said, peolple are doing it all the time. How does a website selling nail varnish survive? without being arrested?
