Grrr...help me remember the name of this, French, I think, cream, that starts on E

I went to the parapharmacie today and they had no idea. Then I saw Eucerin and was wondering whether that was the one, but the packaging's different.
Right...It's a moisturising cream, I think French,it used to come in a white aluminium tube with some blue on it, I think...
It had a somewhat medical name...when I worked in NY, all make-up artists used it on the shoots and I remember it felt like heaven on my dry skin.
Help!

Ah, I seeI didn't give much to go on...it 's sort of nivea type cream iyswim- not made by Vichy or any other huge company- it's been around for ages, I think...basic, but supposedly amazing.
