Business suit-help me find one

I need a very formal traditional skirt suit in a dark colour. I've tried Austin Reed but I'm in between sizes and am reluctant to pay £300 and then have to get it altered. I've found nothing in House of Fraser or Debenhams or M and S (tho' I wanted something more hgh end than that really). Where else can I look? I need a power suit!

I have thought about getting one made but don't know where to start. Any suggestions please?

Most of my power suits either come from Hobbs or Next, Hobbs you're looking at £300, Next under £100. The Hobbs ones have lasted better. I always find the staff in Hobbs really helpful and seem to like acting as a personal shopper, digging out outfits and helping you try on.

TM Lewin do some nice suits if you are their shape - good quality and very city

Jaeger are often good (but variable)

Thanks. I looked in Jeager but there was nothing. I forgot about Hobbs and will check out TM Lewin. I've had shirts from there before. Next isn't going to be city enough.

How long did it take to get the suit made lobsters?

Thanks tethersend; the last 2 are the sort of thing I'm after. Love the calvin Klein but not my size. I've not heard of the make of the 2nd one. Any idea where I could try one on?
