Ok, had v long thread here

Have now put photos on profile of

-navy and cream crochet dress with cream tights (and black shoes - though shoes are on the shopping list)
Is it too short for the wedding? If not, what cardi/jacket? Have pic of crochet shrug in purple (also have green and gold). Wore the dress with black tights and boots for hen do with purple crochet - looked funky but not wedding-y really.

Have also another pic of another dress I found that maybe is more wedding-y? what do you think?

Was planning to go shopping Sat am - tell me what should be on the list? If crochet dress ok was considering these silver shoes or similar (can't do cream shoes, Tethersend, as I just don't like them, and need to buy something I'll wear again). Want to buy purple or yellow accessories for some reason...

Let me have it! (and I promise it'll all be over soon and I will have made a decision)

No-one care to comment? Please!
I tried on every dress in New Look yest and they all looked rubbish/inappropriate (too short mostly)

Can I get away with something I have or do I need to go dress shopping?

I'm at work so no time to read the other thread - but can't resist the lure of a thread with pictures.

The crochet dress is short but not tarty. Perhaps darker tights & chunkier shoes.

I like the other dress too though it's more summery and not sure the cardi you have with it works.

Hopefully that's bumped the thread for now - will be back at lunchtime for an update

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 04/03/2010 10:29

I agree - crochet dress with chunky round toed court shoes would look fab. I wouldn't go for a crochet shrug too though.

Cute tot in the background by the way hehe!

SwarthyWaiter · 04/03/2010 10:29

ok dont like white tights
like that small dude though

diddl · 04/03/2010 10:31

I think darker tights with the first dress.
Like both dresses so would say either depending on weather.
Also not sure about the knitted thing-something more fitted?

SwarthyWaiter · 04/03/2010 10:31

yes on second dress cardi is bad
will dude wear clothes to wedding?

PlumBumMum · 04/03/2010 10:36

Agree with everyone else, the crochet dress, other one abit to casual for a wedding,
darker tights, not sure about the cardi don't think it matches can yo get a hold of a shawl

diddl · 04/03/2010 10:37

I think the darker dress for March.
Possibly boots & a coat/jacket?

I like the shoes you linked to in the other thread.Dolly something?

Adair · 04/03/2010 10:39

Bad cardi - check.
something like this with second dress?
What style for crochet dress?

Are darker tights wedding-y enough? (That was thinking behind the cream...)

(yes, little boy will be wearing clothes )

I like the second dress though can't quite make out the colour.

FiveOrangePips · 04/03/2010 10:43

Navy tights and shoes(maybe with some colour/pattern/ detail) would look better. Blue shoes are good with jeans too, so they are great for wearing again.

MrsBadger · 04/03/2010 10:59

crochet dress fine, other dress less flattering to norks

any shoes you like

wedding will be indoors so wear normal winter coat and ditch asap, no shurg neccesary imo

TrillianAstra · 04/03/2010 11:03

Definitely the crochet dress. The cream tights are cute, sort of a little-girl look.

Adair · 04/03/2010 11:05

(MrsBadger that's what I thought re less flattering)

New thoughts - crochet dress.
Purple tights and mary-jane type shoes (want to justify purple shoes ). I think the cream ones would go, but I don;t really want to buy cream shoes. Navy and navy yes, def an option.

Interesting re no shrug - I have paranoias about being cold... would a light silver cardigan work? to add to collection... And still dreaming about the fur coat Tethersend mentioned..!

And thank you all. Good to know I won't be glared at for being hideously inappropriate in my mini-dress

I like the crochet dress but not with a cardie.
