Wedding outfit advice needed..

I've just been to the Debenhams spectacular and found a lovely dress to wear to my DSIL's wedding in seven weeks. Tried several on and felt really great in this one.

I have a large black patent bag (necessary to carry all DS (2)'s stuff as he is a pageboy) and I've seen some some nice black sandals. My questions are:

I need some sort of shrug / wrap / (cardy)? What colour? Black or cream?

Also a hat..black? Cream? Black and cream? I have a hankering to wear one similar to Andi McDowell's first one in Four Weddings and a Funeral..

Any advice anyone?

I reckon use the black bag but put a different colour shoes, cardi/shrug/pashmina and hat to liven it all up for a wedding, depending on your colouring-I'm dark so I'd put fuschia pink or lime green with it. I wore black and white with black shoes & wrap to my brother's wedding and it was a v hot summer's day so if I was to go back now I'd def put a colour with it.

I'm pale with reddish blonde hair. Thanks for your comments - I'll have a look round.
