Can anyone recommend a natural deodrant that works?

I have tried several in the past but haven't found one that really works. Am not a hugely sweaty person but like to feel confident and dry under the armpits!

The green people ones work really well I find.

I've got Bionsen japanese spa minerals one. It's crystal thingys that you fill up with water, up to five times. Seems to work!

Origins "no offense" is great.

Does anyone have a Weleda deodorant? Are they any good?

playftseforme · 03/03/2010 14:01

Lafe's is v good

I use toms of maine
It's brilliant, my friend who wears it to go to the gym has no problems at all either

Lush do a couple of natural deodorants in solid form that work well for me

Bramshott · 03/03/2010 15:09

DH and I both use Pitrok.

Another vote for Toms of Maine.

Crystal - totally natural product with no nasty additives

GetOrfMoiLand · 03/03/2010 15:21

Do these actually stop you sweating or do they stop the sweat from smelling?

ppeatfruit · 03/03/2010 15:48

cabatach the most effective one is the crystal but only if you put it on twice (allow the first layer to dry). I think Getorf that it actually stops the perspiration.

Tom's smells nice but i don't find it works 24hrs

I often use something that's not marketed as a deodorant but it is very good as one and that is Lane's Tea tree and witch hazel cream I have only seen it in waitrose it's not expensive either.

Floopy21 · 03/03/2010 15:54

I get on very well with Pitrok (crystal deodrant). Stops sweat smelling, although you have to use it for a week or so for it to kick in. Don't think much stops sweat actually happening, apart from pretty harsh ones I think.

Thanks for all your suggestions - will start road testing them!

I use a crystal one that I get from Kleeneze (can't remember it's name and can't be bothered going upstairs to find out). Works for me - doesn't stop me sweating but does stop the pong + no residue.

Bramshott · 04/03/2010 09:53

I've found that Pitrok is better at stopping sweating (within reason) than the Bionsen Crystal refil one I was using before.
