Dark under eye circle, help!

FabMum1 · 01/03/2010 13:56

I have had dark under eye circles for as long as I can remember, they must be hereditary. I've tried many different eye cream/concealers but nothing has given me the look I crave.

The skin under my eyes is quite dry and I don't want anything that will make this worse.

Does anyone have any concealer suggestions, I'm desperate for help

there is a concealer version IIRC

Maybe I'll pop to the benefit counter and try it out.

Any other suggestions ?

Bobbi brown creamy concealer is quite expensive, but the best in my opinion.
They will match the colour to your skin tone for you. If you have really "severe discoloration" as they oh so bluntly told me they also do a corrector which you can put on under the concealer that neutralises purple.

Both the corrector and the concealer are quite greasy which is good for dry skin. The concealer comes with a powder as well, but I don't use it as I find the skin under my eyes gets dry very easily.

For dry skin under your eyes a good eye cream at night can help, if you ask at a clinique counter they will usually give you lots of samples so you can see which one works best.

Finally I have always found touche eclat makes dry skin around my eyes a lot worse, so avoid it for that reason even if it is a good cover up.

i used to use bobbi browns concealer until i tried the benefit erase a paste and its fab, i have terrible circles and i just gave birth 3 wks ago so i'm really tired but with erase a paste everyone is saying how well i look....without it i look very ill. otherhalf works long hours so doesn't normally see me without makeup - at the weekend he was quite concerned at how tired i looked when i didnt put any on, he even cooked dinner - shall try this again.

i tried the garnier one in the shop - no good if you need industrial strength concealer.

Erase Paste definitely. Don't think you can get rid of them but this is excellent camouflage.
