Norwich mums! Anyone know if the Startrite Factory shop measures kids' feet?

I am in the area for a short while. Local friend told me about the factory shop. I know how to get there, but do I have to know DS' size in advance, or is it like a normal shop where they have assistants to measure their feet?
Any tips appreciated.

I've not been but I think it's like a normal shop

The Clarks factory ones measure up

They measure like a normal shop. Be warned though, it can get VERY busy, school holidays are like being dropped into the gaping maw of hell. Also be aware there are no facilities nearby so take plenty of snacks/drinks etc.

A few things to be aware of - as ProfYaffle said, it gets very busy. Best time to go is at 3.10 on a weekday afternoon (be aware it doesn't open at weekends). They do measure, but I would recommend checking for yourself too, as in the past they have not been great fitting-wise - all the staff are trained, but some are much better than others. Also, on the last 2 occasions I've trekked over there they haven't had anything at all in the right size for school schoes for DD. It's not like a normal shop in that you don't browse the shelves for what you fancy, it's down to what they have in.

Don't mean to sound negative, we do still use it and it saves loads of money, but worth being aware of the above IMO.

Very true re lack of choice. There have been a few occasions when we've queued for an hour to get fitted and had a choice of precisely one pair of shoes.

I think they do yes

Thanks so much everyone, you've been great help. I'll definitely bear all of the tips in mind.
