And not look like Saun of the Dead?

Or is it just me? .

Yes but you need to get the right shade of nude for you.

I'm pale/blonde and suit a peachier tone - definitely looks better when I've got a bit of fake tan on too and make up.

Also wear with darker colours too. Am wearing a nude long sleeve top today with skinny khaki trousers and looks very nice I think.

No, I look ill.

Can wear white but no pale or wishy washy colours. Am fair, blue eyed and have dark hair, rich colours are my friend.

scattyspice · 27/02/2010 19:11

this colour. Actually that top . Lots of it about at the mo.

Perhaps with a bit more slap on tracy and I could get away with it. I'm blonde (bottle) and a bit on the pasty side.

I can't. I can't wear white or cream either but I do sometimes wear a white top, with a darker top over it and a scarf, to break it up.

I love white shirts and peachy, nudey silks too - but they don't love me.

scattyspice · 27/02/2010 19:18

. Maybe its an age thing. All the luscious teens look lovely in it.

I ventured into New Look this afternoon and everything was in that colour, including the staff. It was like that year when brown became the new black and everyone looked like they were wearing the same clothes...

BendyBob · 27/02/2010 19:21

Dark skin could look v good in it.

But my pale blotchy offering will look terrible.

scattyspice · 27/02/2010 19:50

Same in topshop drusilla everything was either nude or sailor stripes.

Oh to have dark skin (sigh).

Try wearing with a warm slate grey. Really lifts the colour and makes nudes much more wearable. I can wear pinky nude shades but anything too peach makes me look jaundiced!

bran · 27/02/2010 20:37

I used to have a lovely pale pink/nude sweater. I had to stop wearing it as it was a bit too close to my skin tone and people in the office kept doing double-takes because it looked as though I was actually nude.

scattyspice · 27/02/2010 20:47

Thats a good tip tulpe I have a wardrobe full of grey!

vesela · 27/02/2010 20:48

I can wear it if it's a slightly beigier nude than that. That pale pink is a bit too peachy for me.

zanz1bar · 27/02/2010 21:05

Revolting colour on 90% of the population, almost as grim as when they said we should all wear lemon yellow.

horrible colours pushed by horrible magazines that have no idea what people really want to wear.

So finally at 42 I am going t only buy what suits me not what mags say I should.

RamblingRosa · 27/02/2010 21:31

Oh I like that colour. Not sure if it suits me really but I've always liked pale, nude, pinky/peachy blush colours. I've got dark hair and pale skin.

MrsPotiphar · 28/02/2010 09:13

no its vile
a dn in cheap fabric looks viler.

scattyspice · 28/02/2010 11:21

Sailor stripes this year then .

mazzystartled · 28/02/2010 11:23

I'm pale skinned and dark-haired (with a smattering of freckles) and weirdly it really suits me. Has to be decent fabric though and not too pink.

janeite · 28/02/2010 12:58

I am pale skinned and dark haired too - why doesn't it suit me? Stamps feet.

In silk, it is beautiful.

leothelioness · 28/02/2010 13:11

I can't wear that colour either it makes me look jaundiced I suit bright colours much more and I am dark haired and dark eyed too.

jamaisjedors · 28/02/2010 14:16

I just had my colours done and those colours are definitely a no-no for me, I need to rush around buying up the blues and greens before they disappear under a sea of nude.

I noticed top-shop was already over-whelmed with the stuff a couple of weeks ago.

scattyspice · 28/02/2010 14:28

Yes loads in topshop, they seem to put it with white and pale grey . I imagine it would suit darker haired girls or auburn hair best.

I am neither of those but I did buy a nudeish scalf to try it out in the cold light of day.

Moneyspider · 28/02/2010 16:51

I look shit in it. But if I didn't, I'd buy this

Whitetara · 28/02/2010 20:00

I think it looks lovely, but imagine it might look nice on someone blond with either a peaches and cream/scandinavian type colouring. I'd look green in it.

scattyspice · 01/03/2010 12:31

Lovely dress moneyspider .
