i broke a sweat trying to get into spanx !

why does everyone love them?
they are evil .
Dh saw me rolling around on the bed trying to get them up .he stood their laughing . this man has saw me give birth ffs , but the spanx was the most humiliating moment of my life.
eventually i got into them. but they have rolled up on my legs and im dying for a wee , but too afraid to try and get out of them.
what am i to do ? shall i cut myself out ?.

Don't they have a little hole in them so you can go to the toilet without taking them off?

Mine do - though I have never actually worn them as I too had the rolling fabric/uncomfortableness so they are languishing in my knicker drawer forever more !

shhh - i got the cheap ones -department store brand. tight git that i am .
should have got the real ones then ?.
they are a bit on the fuggly side too.

i only wanted to wear some jeans .
ive got a dent going round my fat flabby thighs now. it looks ridiculous !.

Personally I think the problem is in my case that I bought too small a size - I think that they obviously need to be tight, but the rolls of flab look is not a good look - when I put mine on I end up with huge love handles between the top of the Spanx and my bra strap at the back.

Wow OP - you let your DH see you in them?? My DH never has and never shall. They are hideous to behold but they don't half flatten a tum! (Mine even flatten out my flabby ladygarden area ... - looks weird, like a statue that's had its "bits" chipped off ...)

Having said that, I only wear them about twice a year - don't have many special occasions requiring me to look svelte! Maybe if I did I'd just go on a diet and be done!

now theres an idea cruelladepoppins !- the spanx diet . they are that tight you cant eat whilst wearing them.
or you can only eat chips/chocolate /cake if youve got them on . twice a year then? you `ll lose weight no problem.

Me getting into my Spanx is akin to stuffing a whale into a bin bag. Do yours have that weird gap in the gusset so you can theoretically have a wee without taking them off?

I wouldn't try it

nope i got the cheapy ones ! .
its the worst being bursting for a wee , whilst wearing them out in public....
can you imagine going for a wee in a bar/resturant and being caught writhing on the floor trying to squeeze back into them ???? nightmare!.
makes whalebone corsets of olden days seem like a good idea.

Um? mine are fairly easy to put on!! Maybe you don't have the right size??

They shouldn't be so tight you can hardly get them on and get rolls on the thighs on the contrary I'm a size 10 or 12 but bought the 12-14 size after DS was born (bit heavier then!) and they fit well. oh and they still have the slimming/shaping effect too

im a size 1O ... i weigh about 9 & 1/2 stone... but the problem is my flabby belly , you dont have twins and stay toned there. i get the overhang when i wear anything with a waistband. . not a good look . lol .

Mine aren't easy to get on but its not as bad as you have experianced. Do you have the right size?

I was at a jumble sale and there was the tiniest pair of spanx type things there all thses little old ladies were looking at it and trying to work out what it was-i told them and they were laughing saying the pee pee hole was where the person who had them on was trying to cut themselves out .....one elderly lady she must have been in her 80s was in hospital and her husband visited her and saw her during the day without her 12 hour girdle on and said 'ere girl your not in the family way are you' - hed never seen her tummy 'hanging loose' before ......

You need to buy the real ones, they do involve a bit of tugging and lunging to get them on but mine have never rolled over anywhere (size 20)

The flatten and smooth and I lose about an inch all over. I've got heavy duty one and a lighter version too, both a fantastic

I can pee through the gap too quite easily

Get the real ones!

Gok Wan does some lovely boned hold it all in knickers, they are very comfy and easy to get on and off.

I have the set and love it.

I got the high-waisted ones, I guess there must be a difference between brands as well ?
