Hi Bonsoir,

Okay, so for style, erm, my style icons are on the previous thread. What I am aiming for is sort of louche chic. This is tough actually.

I do kind of like the concept of Zadig & Voltaire, that sort of thing. My budget is circa. Topshop, Zara, Mango, but am willing to go above this for some nice, lasting clothes.

If you are a Zadig & Voltaire sort of girl you should probably go to the Z&V corner at Le Bon Marché (which is right above La Grande Epicerie - you can take the escalator to the far right of the door of LGE) and browse the whole of that floor, which has all the French high street high fashion brands. That's the easiest way to get a good look at all the brands and to try on a lot of stuff without anyone hassling you to buy!

And then you can hop to Zara over the road (or the huge one on Champs-Elysées) and see how you can mix and match to keep your budget in check!

On rue de Rivoli, opposite what used to be La Samaritaine, there are big a big Zara, H&M and lots of cheaper high street brands.

Thank you! I can't wait. It's the first time I have some time without DP, so can shop without dragging grumpy Frenchman behind me.

The underwear department at Le Bon Marché is fabulous too...

You could always get a personal shopper to help you - I think you need to look on their website and book ahead.
