My best friend has terminal cancer and is using only natural products for her skin and face. I want to give her something really pretty for her birthday

Another vote for REN stuff although not particularly attractive packaging - am also a big fan of Neals Yard Remedies - lovely packaging and products.

So sorry to hear about your friend. Your gift idea sounds really thoughtful.

I second what tracey says abour Ren - it is natural and gentle on your skin. I can highly recommend this from their range but I don't think you could go wrong with any of it

So sorry about your friend, I had a breast cancer scare just last week and it was so frightening.

These By Terry rose products are all lovely. the balm is gorgeous for dry lips and smells of roses, it's a real treat. This version has a golden sheen.

Thinking of you and your friend.

Liz earle stuff is really great and possibly a bit cheaper - sorry haven't had a chance to look up the REN £. the ladies on the phone always brill at suggesting options if you tell them about the circumstances. Packaging is really beautiful and always feels special to get. Sorry to hear about your friend.

So sorry for you and your friend, I second my anger at the unfairness of it all. I could recommend this soap, it is very soothing and properly handmade in the Shetland island-if your friend is an animal lover she will be pleased to know they were recently nominated for an RSPCA award because of how well they look after the goats. www.thegamriegoat.co.uk/index.html

I'm awfully sorry about your friend. She'll be really touched at your gift.

Try the Lovelula website, I buy loads on there - Weleda stuff for my boys mostly... there are lots of brands you'll have never heard of but gorgeous and all very natural.

daylesford organic if you've not already found something. Sorry about your friend.
