I am 39. Mother of two boys. TA at school. 5ft 6. Size 14. Mid brown shoulder length hair.

Is this frumpy? Too M&S?

What are you planning on wearing it for?

bouncingblueberries · 22/02/2010 14:39

I think it's lovely but I'd want to jazz it up a bit with some accessories - maybe try to pick out the blue colour with some lovely bracelts?

Collision · 22/02/2010 14:40

Nothing in particular.

Just a dress to have really.

Would jazz it up and pick out the blue.

Don't think it's frumpy, but might not be suitable for certain occasions and we might be able to find you something more exciting if you wanted!!

Collision · 22/02/2010 14:43

ooh what might it not be suitable for?

I do worry about purchasing from M&S as the world and his wife might end up wearing it. I once fawned over a beautiful skirt in there and then realised 2 old (75 plus) ladies were looking and admiring the same skirt!!

Put me right off!

x-post! I think the shape would work really well on your figure. Would also be very comfortable while looking smart. Would also work well into spring season, so would be a good buy!!

I was just wondering if you were planning on wearing it for an evening out/event or as a day to day dress. I'd tend to wear something like this for day to day, rather than for a wedding/christening IYSWIM! I think it's a lovely dress that you could accessorise well for work/shopping/meeting friends etc. Nice boots/chunky beads, great bag etc...

I know what you mean about wondering if everyone will be wearing the same thing, but then I always think you can't go far wrong with M&S! When I was about 17 I had on what I thought was a fab dress from topshop and felt really good in it until another much older lady came up to me wearing the same dress with the cheery "great minds!" line!! I was mortified!!! Needless to say the dress was thrown away!!

nice. But white in a classroom... you must be better with ink than me

no - I wouldnt wear it for school. Just said I was a TA to let you know what I did.
