Thing with ebay is that people want a bargin and I mean a bargin
I found that LV bags I was selling and cost me £400 brand new, buyers wanted to pay me £100 . Couldn't see that fact that LV is a timeless brand, never is sold at a reduction in a LV boutique and worth the price.
BUT because of so many fakes on ebay esp LV its actually quite hard to sell genuines for what they are worth.
Ebay are also very strict on listings, therfor listings need to be for around 6 days iir and they usually want proof its genuine (receipt) and ebay don't think twice about cancelling an auction for the fact they believe it to be a fake item even when its not. (Thats happened in my case) This can be really annoying esp when the amount of time it takes to run the auction etc.
If you have genuine proof of purchase then show it with the item. If the item isn't worth lots or you don't want nearer the price its worth then go for ebay.
Also remember, by the time you have listed an item, relisted it (several times..?) and sold it (pay sellers fee's and paypal fee's) imo it prob works out better to use a middle man...
I so was against the middle mans fee's as in bagnificent but guess it saves hassle OH...AND....also stops fraud and you being affected by it.
What happens if you sell a bag, accept payment via paypal and its paid for on a stolen credit card..? you loose both ways sadly .
Ebay is good for some things BUT please beware.
Good luck whatever you decide x
