Following on from this thread
Feel free to ignore the angst and just do clothes.

Pics on profile, am 5'2, size 8 usually, 32a/b depending on bra.

Really want to know what will suit me, I usually seem to get it wrong. Would like ideas for everyday (SAHM), slightly more dressed up, and wow.

If that's not too much to ask

Tiered and tantalising dress not one I would have picked myself but I do quite like it actually...

I really like the polka dot dress Norkily Challenged linked to earlier actually, it's one size though so worried it would swamp me?

I picked the dress as I think cowl necks would really suit you. Perhaps this, this or this would be good?

I wasn't sure of your budget on the jacket, but would get real leather if you can- this is lovely, and not a bad price for leather. I have one of their leather jackets, and the quality is fantastic.

That polka dot dress would be lovely with ballet flats, very sixties.

Also like this

This also nice.

overmydeadbody · 20/02/2010 13:51

tethersend I love that People Tree cowel neck grey dress! lovely

NorkilyChallenged · 20/02/2010 13:51

Alasixesse - I've tried the polka dot dress on myself in the shop, it was a bit too short (bum-skimming which is too short for me to wear with leggings) but as I said, I'm a good 4-5 inches taller than you so would be perfect length. I'm a 10-12, more 10 up top and it was a good fit top half so think it would be fine for you too.

The G-Heaven one size tend to be a bit small (there are some that I can't really wear as they would be too tight on me and, as I said, I'm not that huge).

NorkilyChallenged · 20/02/2010 13:54

Oooh, I have this which is lovely and I think would look even better on you as you could wear with tights as a dress or with leggings/jeans. I wear long sleeves or polo neck under in this weather.

NorkilyChallenged · 20/02/2010 13:57

Along similar lines

For more dressed up occasions this could be quite wow with opaques and the right shoes.

Hello Norkily

NorkilyChallenged · 20/02/2010 14:00

Hi tethersend

tethersend · 21/02/2010 12:55

Did we kill the thread, Norkily?

NorkilyChallenged · 21/02/2010 17:16

Yes I think I did. My Threads I'm On is full of threads I've killed this weekend

tethersend · 21/02/2010 17:47

Me too.

There, I've done it again, haven't I?

alasixesse · 21/02/2010 21:38

Nope not killed- I've been shopping!

I got the black republic dress Norkily linked to, the new look jacket (looked fine irl) and a couple of tops to wear with my skinnies-which I WILL now wear.

Have more stuff from this thread bookmarked but it will have to wait-am now beyond broke

Hooray!

Good choices! I wanted to add I have always had celulite on my legs, even when I was a size 8 and really skinny at 5'10". You have a lovely figure.
I don't know how you wear your hair, but whenever I see anyone petite like you and with your colouring I always wish I was like that too think of Audrey Hepburn and her style of polo neck and capri pants or neat dresses or neat sweater and skirt
She also wore breton tops and cigarette pants with ballet flats, couldn't find a decent pic of that, but am sure you will know anyway.

It's a lovely look, wish I could carry it off, and will definitely make you feel more feminine.
