I've got chance to buy one of my friend who lives in manchester so she'd need to post it. but am wondering how big it is in real life as no way of seeing one before i say yes or know.
i looked at the measurements online but still can;t picture it.
is it huge/big/small.
i'm tall and wide so want to be fairly certain that it will fit on my shoulder, its not too much of a biggy as should get my money back on ebay if i don;t like it, it doesn;t feel right but still would rather not waste time and money if its a definate no.

thanks

I haven't seen a Daria in the flesh but I have a Mulberry Mitzy Hobo which looking at the measurements on the Mulberry site is a simialr size (give a couple of cm). I love my bag, it is big but I like big bags so not a problem for me. It will fit on your shoulder as the strap is longer then mine and I wear mine on my shouder. Hope that helps you make up your mind

Right, as a bit of an expert on all things Mulberry I would say that a Daria Hobo is ideally suited to the more amazonian woman. It is big, and IMO would look a bit daft on someone with say a size four, five foot frame. Also, the handle drop is quite generous due to the squishy shape and feel of the bag.

I hope this helps .

TheBolter · 19/02/2010 22:40

I should also say that a tall and wide friend of mine has tried out and really wants this bag. Also she is quite fussy about handle drops, I remember her saying the Bayswater drop is too shallow for her.
Don't ask me why I know these things, I just do!

Ok another mulberry fiend here! I have a daria hobo and it is bloody gorgeous I must say. It is a large bag so don't worry at all about it looking too petite on a fuller figure. The handle is very spacious and am sure it will fit your shoulder well. It is as light as a feather and very comfortable. It is a real head turner and I often notice people looking at mine when I'm out and about!

HalfTermHero · 19/02/2010 22:50

To add to what Bolter said, yes the handle drop on daria is much bigger than on a Bayswater or a Roxanne. This bag is made for the shoulder and as such is just perfect when worn there.

Divatheshopaholic · 19/02/2010 22:53

Oh, daria is gorgeous, so is mitzy.
i want friend like yours.
I agree, its oversized hobo bag, so wont be good look if you are tiny.

joliejolie · 20/02/2010 12:59

I have the satchel version and the leather is really beautiful. I think the size of the bag is great as well and perfect if you are a bit taller.

What colour is it? I have the cerise pink, but I'm pining for the hobo in orange.

MaineGirl · 20/02/2010 16:02

thank you, i paid her this morning after youir comments. its nice to have a rich friend who passes me her hand me downs for bargain prices. its black so neautral but think with somethign as expensive as this i prefer a more timeless colour.
i've got a karen millen in pink and orange thats a similar shape but that comes with shoulder strap as well.
my roxanne fits on my shoulder so thats good to know.
major handbag addiction has replaced my pram addiction.

Snap. I was addicted to prams too, now it is handbags! Congratulations on your lovely new bag. Bet you will love it and it will look fantastic. Daria is 'new' Mulberry, modern and gorgeous.

MaineGirl · 20/02/2010 16:23

the only thing is i'm less likely to be parted from my bags than prams, so so much for my theory of selling on when i buy a new one.

Ikwym! But as long as you look after them well they should last for years. Look at them as an investment! Cost per wear will reduce as the years go by. A black daria will be timeless I think.

MaineGirl · 21/02/2010 09:37

lets hope so, i was contmeplating buying the daria drawstring but think the hobo will be better as goes on the shoulder and i got it for a good price, i know it will be real, shes sendign the receipt for selfridges as well.
How sad to be excited by handbag purchases
