Advice on clogs

Are they the next big thing or just the easist way to annoy everyone I pass in the street?

I love them, but wonder if I am just being nostalgic for my childhood in the 70's. Shall I buy them if I want and forget how noisy and impractical they are?

Snap! I was a 7 before DD- why does that happen???

They only have a 3 left on the yoox site... I would recommend getting a 41 in the super-highs though

fishie · 22/02/2010 16:15

sigh. every year i have gone up a size in birkenstocks. denial...

am in 8.5 running shoes!

I like them but they are too high for me. I bought a normal lower pair back in about '92, and wore them for about 3 yrs. hell to start with but very soon became so so comfy.

Yay, another clogs thread! thanks for the links to yoox and topshop, didn't know they were selling them.

Traceybath, I like the Hasbeens a bit better than the other Topshop ones but only because the latter look like glammed up Dr Scholl's (don't mind Dr Scholl's but only the hardcore flat version)

I'm going to buy me a pair of Hasbeens for my birthday, trying to decide between these covered ones and these peep toes ?

I like the way the site says that they will make you "look like a tall hippie"...

If I get any it will HAVE to be the red SJP hasbeens - just gorgeous. I'm biding my time a bit to see if they become available in the UK

MillyR · 26/02/2010 07:35

I already look like a tall hippy - I don't want to exacerbate the problem. But I really, really want the red peep toe high. They are not that high, surely?

joliejolie · 26/02/2010 08:57

Well, I ordered the Ugg version because they are the most retro, but I have my eye on the red Hasbeens as well....gorgeous!!!

Got my Ugg Abbie clogs today and they are lovely. Really comfy, but I am clomping like a madwoman all over my wood floors!
