What shape are you, what bits of you do you like, what's the budget, do you have a jacket already or want a warmer dress?

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 16:20

How about one of these dress

here

They go by bust an waist measurements. I lovvvvvvvvvve there dresses and just looking to see if I can get onther

NorkilyChallenged · 18/02/2010 16:26

I LOVE those Vivien of Holloway clothes. But the 50s style isn't really good for the flat-chested.

PDR hope you find something you like for your christening!

KentuckyFriedPenguin · 18/02/2010 16:29

I LOVE those dresses but too am flat chested i have really odd proportions too so their sizes won;'t fit

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 16:30

Norkily - I have no problem in that department , but looking at the models they don't look like they have much boobage so you might get away with it, unless you have tried

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 16:30

Sorry ladies

PDR · 18/02/2010 16:30

shortandsweet2 the 1940s ones are lovely and more "me" but sadly too small.

PP I am tall, big but in proportion IYKWIM and I like my arms.

I don't have a jacket, but I have a white 3/4 sleeve cardi which might do? It's at 1pm so the church won't be toooo cold!

Budget is under £100.

Do you like colour?

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 16:37

I thinking this is stunning but 20 over what you want to spend

PDR · 18/02/2010 16:39

I like this colour:

but maybe too dark for a christening?

and

this one

PCPlumIsMyHomeboy · 18/02/2010 16:42

anything here

Only go up to a 20, but on your other thread you said you were betweee the two, and I think LA are fairly generous

Flightattendant · 18/02/2010 16:43

Excuse me for hijacking for a moment but could I just ask Poppity if her dress was any good?

PDR, La Redoute have got a lot of larger sizes in frocks. I wonder if they are worth a try.

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 16:46

Some of the VOH goes up to B46 and W38 - I take its no good?

Ewe · 18/02/2010 16:46

It's throwaway fashion but any of these dresses appeal?

PDR · 18/02/2010 16:46

Ooooo had not thought of LA

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 16:48

What about this

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 16:52

Sorry just seen you want knee length

PDR · 18/02/2010 16:53

Had looked at that shortandsweet2 but only in 10 or 12 atm and I need it by next week.

I quite like this but might be a bit "mumsy"...

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 16:59

I know its ebay but it is new

shortandsweet2 · 18/02/2010 17:03

Any of these

PCPlumIsMyHomeboy · 18/02/2010 17:05

Navy's fine! Lovely dress

PoppityPing · 18/02/2010 17:07

Hi there Flight, no it was not at all good imo, it felt a bit cheap, not cut for tall girls(empire line kept sliding up over my boobs! Nothing to do with their inadequacy I am sure) and the colour (nankeen) was not me at all sadly. Neck shape was lovely though.
How were the boots in the end?

Sorry OP, I will have a search and be back, have to do tea now!

PoppityPing · 18/02/2010 17:12

Kaliko

dramatic!

over budget but lovely
