wedding outfit ideas

Ok, I'm having trouble describing the "look" I want...

I have a strapless long white dress with a bit of a train, it is kind of off white, with net and little silk (or silk look) off white leaves and flowers appliced on the net.

I'm size 14, with big breastfeeding boobs and a bit of a baby belly. I'm generally a bit hippy/retro/"eccentric" (I hate that word!) in style. I have dark blonde straight thick hair, about two inches past my shoulders and blue eyes. I wear glasses with thick black frames. I'm very pale.

I'm getting married in August in a theatre. Dress code for guests is flamboyant and theatrical.

My bridesmaids are:
17 year old size 6 sister
23 year old size 8 sister (both with the same colouring as me)
26 year old friend, size 14ish, dark long hair, piercings/tattoos, pale.
3 year old DD, long wavy light blonde hair, pale
9 month old DD, hair is looking dark now, but who knows what it will be like by then as she is only 3 months now!

(I have no idea why my little wedding has so many bridesmaids!)

DP is, I think, dressing in the puffy shirt/tight trousers byronesque style. My Dad is, I think, dressing as some kind of ringmaster.

I'm thinking of wildflower garlands in mine and bridesmaids hair, and some form of cape for me in a dark colour. Maybe sewing some purple bits on the dress somehow?

We're borrowing costumes from the theatre, but need some ideas as the wardrobe is vast! So, any pictures that I can show to people to capture a general "mood" would be great.

This is the ultimate dressing up game!

Would it be unbearably twee to put the kids in fairy wings? I know DD1 would LOVE that idea.

Hmmm... as you describe it, it sounds a bit Midsummer night's dream with Pre Raphaelite overtones...

Oh, and a massive YES to the fairy wings

Unless you have boys?
