Should I return DS Boden coat because it's falling apart?

It's the very warm winter (fake) down filled one.

I bought it last Spetember, and a seam in the lining has come apart. If Id' spotted it earlier I could have hand stitched, but now it needs sowing by machine (which I don't have, so will have to ask MIL)

I'm annoyed, and thought about sending it back, but is there any point as they are no longer in stock, so won't be able to replace it?

i think a coat 6 months old cant be returned, wouldn't it be wear and tear?

send an email and see what they say. Don't just send it. I sent an back a cardigan to white company as holes had appeared in it after a few wears but they have totally ignored me.

Well Boden do claim to have a completely no quibble return policy - any time, any reason, so its good to see it holds up!

I wouldn't have had the nerve to complain after the coat had been worn by an active child (assuming your ds is! ) for 6 months.

Well, now they tell me the won't geive me a refund.

Or they might give me 50% of original cost if I send them the coat.

Wish they'd make up their minds!

i would expect a boden coat to last far longer than 6m tbh. i have much cheaper coats that have passed down my (v.active ) boys without problem. would expect more of boden tbh.
