A couple of months ago in work someone left a catalogue on the kitchen table. It was for some company which seemed to stock 'ethnic/hippyish' style clothing although they looked very well made and not the usual sort of tat. I remember one of the pages featured a shoot which was done in a old style gypsy caravan. In the catologue they had one youngish model and one model who looked about 65yrs old on every page.
Clothes looked Europeanish and attracted quite a hefty price tag.

Anyone know which company this is? As soon as someone says the name i'd remember

I BET its Gudrun Sjoden (not sure on spelling)
Was it 95% horrendous with a few tempting items?

tulpe · 17/02/2010 13:10

Tempted by an embroidered cardigan?

DorotheaPlenticlew · 17/02/2010 14:27

aaaah! My eyes!

Actually I am sure certain people would look fab in it, def not me though.

victoriascrumptious · 17/02/2010 21:59

LMFAO! Actually i'm tempted by rather a few embroidered cardigan whatnots. I also rather fancy a tie-around scarf for my head.

Namaste?
Nomads?

cornsilk · 17/02/2010 22:04

hello dragonbutter!

CrowAndAlice · 17/02/2010 22:09

I love a bit of Boho / hippy, me - with an occasional splash of goth...

...but my god! Those clothes would make the most slender pretty girl look frumpy and plain.

CrowAndAlice · 17/02/2010 22:11

dragonbutter - i was thinking of you today. I drove past the town of Dwygyfylchi (North Wales) which my family call 'didyoufelchme?'.....always reminds me of you for some reason .

Nevergoogledragonbutter · 17/02/2010 22:12

hi cornsilk. did you look me up on facebook? somebody has sent me a friend request but i don't know who they are.

Nevergoogledragonbutter · 17/02/2010 22:13

cornsilk · 17/02/2010 22:14

No I was just thinking about that today. How weird! We have changed PC's and dh hasn't got round to putting old emails on the new one yet.

YoginiBikini · 17/02/2010 22:17

Was going to suggest Gudren whatsit too. I'm far too slow. Did you like anything from them?

CrowAndAlice · 17/02/2010 22:19

Nevergoogledragonbutter · 17/02/2010 22:19

if you do, it might be worth mentioning the name cornsilk on the request. i have no idea who has sent me a request.

cornsilk · 17/02/2010 22:22

Okaydoke will do

Nevergoogledragonbutter · 17/02/2010 22:27

i should move there.

nigglewiggle · 17/02/2010 22:30

I recall a thread from a few months ago where Jigsaw was being mentioned for staging photos in gypsy caravans. DTH?

BettySuarez · 17/02/2010 22:37

Was about to suggest Gudrun Sjoden (after you mentioned the 65 year old)

PMSL at 95% horrendous!

Can't get my head around the pricing structure either

PoppityPing · 18/02/2010 16:37

That is spot on for Gudrun, I have been getting the catalogue for years, and have bought only 4 things, one of which I sold on ebay after always feling enormous in it!

I do have the most gorgeous fitted coat from there though, usually get asked where it is from when I wear it.
Ditto a funky fitted summer dress.

I think it's good if you only expect to find the odd thing.
And wait until the sale
