KEW- anyone else disappointed with them now?

Was an avid fan about 5 years back- but now it is really drab and middle aged.
This was confirmed yesterday when I was in my re-vamped John Lewis- all the Kew stuff was with the old ladies clothes- like Alexon and CC etc.

Now it's back to Boden and over priced Jigsaw.

Jigsaw's good quality though - I am currently wearing a wool cardi coat that I bought there in 1994, and it has not a single bobble or hole or anything.

Yeah, I love Jigsaw- they seem to be back on track now after a couple of years of going drab- I have a few tops etc from them but they have hiked their prices now. You are looking at £70 ish for a jumper/cardi.

I have to say that I have had a couple of thick lambswool jumpers that have bobbled very quickly and were not worth the £££s.

Kew is related to Jigsaw, non?

Must say I saw a small part of the latest Kew range yesterday (dept store concession) and thought it was incredibly frumpy. The yellowy-green 'tea dress' is vile. Jigsaw I feel got into a real rut of 'hippy-sludgy' colours and practically the same stuff year on year but is slowly emerging (albeit at a high price!). Wish it would get some different suit fabric though - they seem to have been dragging the same cloth out of the warehouse for the last twenty years.

i think mint velvet is way better

hadn't heard of them but their website is impressive.

I can't bear jigsaw. It's all a bit Lark Rise to Candleford for me.

sometimes I see something in Kew I like but they seem to cater mainly for wimmin who have no shoulders. I can never fit into their shirts.

I love that dull blue colour they do at Kew though. Have rarely seen it anywhere else.

those patterned dresses on the Kew website are vile!

Mint velvet i went into today and all their stuff was longline tops (very very nice longline tops in lovely fabric with plenty of detail work) to wear with tight fitting trews of some kind. Not for me.

Kew/jigsaw did stuff i liked (tighter fitting slightly below waist length tops/cardis) but as you say the cost was fairly shocking and just not exciting enough for that price tag- punching a bit above the brand weight perhaps?.
