I took a dress back to next because it had shrunk in the wash. I was ready for a fight and expected to be told I'd washed it incorrectly, but started off very matter of fact "This shrank in the wash"

No fuss at all, refunded me straight away and I had no receipt.

I had to return some trainers last year, I had worn them for about a week. They were marked up as a size 4, they had cardboard tags saying they were both a size 4, one was a little tight, I looked inside and it wasn't a 4, it was a 3.5. They exchanged them without any problems at all.

I used to work for next and as a general rule of thumb if something was faulty then we would return it. If you were unsure then you had to contact the manager..... sometimes we would get junkies/shoplifters coming in who had stolen an expencive item who would try to get a refund.

Soooo much jewlery used to get returned..... it was unbelievable the amount I used to refund customers for. It used to annoy me because it was pretty stuff and not always cheep but terrible quality aand broke really easily.

I agree the quality of Next stuff has gone waaaay down hill.
The last 3 things I've bought have lasted a month. I got a refund on the coat I bought, but the "dress" (So flimsy there is no way it could be used as a dress.) and DDs school shirt (seam in arm came away up to her armpit one day!) are yet to go back.
