monsoon kids clothes, what's the sizing like?

have never bought from monsoon for the children, but we have a wedding and i have a linen waistcoat and trousers for ds on watch on ebay. he's 4, 5 in may, the wedding is in may, the clothes on ebay are age 3-4, do they come up small or big? ds is small for his age and slightly built, so am wondering if we can get away with age 3-4 or should i hold out for size age?

ps, don't live near a monsoon to go and try on in store before the ebay auction ends.

I think they come up fairly big but haven't bought from there recently...

I have 2 monsoon linen little boy suits lurking somewhere. Will try to remember to have a look shortly. I remember taking both up and in, but that might have been because I was being mean and buying extra big at the time.

Unless you ds is small, don't buy the 3-4, it will be too small. I'm afraid you may even need the 5-6 if he's a strapping chap!

very very small in my experience - always go for at least their age IMO
