I'm thinking about buying this blazer what do you think? Have just lost a load of weight and am now size 12/14 hourglass. Have convinced myself it will go with everything

Lovely! Are the shoulders a bit padded though! I could never get away with shoulder pads, I'd look like Matt Lucas in drag, but I ain't no size 12

Starbear · 13/02/2010 11:59

Yep! Love it. I can see it in summer with a lovely white skirt or white trousers

Flightattendant · 13/02/2010 12:03

Ugh sorry but no way in the world.

You will look like a Thomson rep.

Oliveoil · 13/02/2010 12:04

hmmm

don't like the white stripe tbh, would prefer plain block colour

Starbear · 13/02/2010 12:05

But it's work clothes to you. If you dress it up it would look lovely.

arsebiscuit · 13/02/2010 12:08

Oh no, the Thompson rep comment has me worried how about this one then here

Grey one is lovely. I like the first one but I would dress it down or you will look like a rep

Starbear · 13/02/2010 12:16

I like both. But I know nothing have been accused of looking like a BA hostess once I liked the idea as I normally wear DM's very ugly clothes for work.

Flightattendant · 13/02/2010 12:19

Oh please don't be

I'm just not a blazer person iyswim. If you can visualise it working with your style then do go ahead!

That's the whole point...wear things you like, sod what we think. And several people like it anyway!

if you want to wear stuff I like, you will be restricted to shopping at Toast, Scats and Jack Wills

and only in the sale...

probono · 13/02/2010 12:20

It won't go with everything, it will go with a few things. But not very many. I think it's a little odd.

probono · 13/02/2010 12:21

It will date like mad too. Sorry.

Flightattendant · 13/02/2010 12:21

i would go with a nice, neutral, brownish tweed blazer if you are going that route.

They match most stuff but I guess are less summery...what have you got to match it with?

Fleecy · 13/02/2010 13:52

I have the navy DP blazer

It's very fitted and neat - I'm going to wear it with rolled-up boyfriend jeans and heels, or ankle-length skinny jeans and ballet flats. I love it!

Am going to wear white or nude vest underneath - have a lovely cream silk blouse with ruffle down the front that looks nice with the same jeans and shoes but think that would be too holiday rep-y!

I also have a neutral colour tweed blazer - goes with a lot of stuff and it very Emilia Fox in Silent Witness-y but it makes me feel frumpy so I'd go for the navy.

BessieBoots · 13/02/2010 14:13

Loooove the grey- Can you get one for me while you're at it?
