Help I've never been to a Spa!

My friend got given a voucher for a Spa day for two at Clarice House in Bury St Edmunds, and we're going next Thursday. It includes a facial and a manicure/pedicure, but we'll be there all day long.

I'd like to treat her to something nice, basically I'm getting the day for free so I'd like to buy her a treatment or something.

But I have never been to a spa! I don't even know what half of the things they 'offer' ARE!

Any advice? Also, what is a Spa like? They lend you a robe but what goes under it? Your undies? There is a pool but I don't fancy sitting around all day in my swimsuit.

...oh God my swimsuit is knackered, just remembered it was all fuzzy round the bum last year! I have to go and buy a new one.

Why don't you buy her the pedicure if she is having the manicure option, or vice versa?

You are reminding me that the hotel we are staying in when going ski-ing next week has a spa... I must wax!

You could buy some of the products that they use in her facial or if you get her the pedicure you could also buy the nail polish that she chose
