CymbidiumHybrid · 10/02/2010 18:47

Definatley a no no.

cocolepew · 10/02/2010 18:51

Yes yes it's a no no. Not yes yes open yourself to public ridicule.

Just to clarify.

skybluewinking · 10/02/2010 18:57

I had some tights WITH open toes from M&S. They are in natural, and had them for the sucking in of thighs effect

Barbsieboo · 10/02/2010 19:05

no no no

cakeywakey · 10/02/2010 19:06

I've done it but made sure they are the natural, sandal-toe tights. I have Irish colouring so without them, my legs are milk-bottle white verging on blue, I need all the help I can get. No one ridiculed me (at least not in front of me .

Stinkermink · 10/02/2010 19:14

Mhhhh, steer away from either the open toe shoe/tight option too ladies. Just wear tights and choose shoes without open toes.

MarthaFarquhar · 10/02/2010 19:19

I think contrast opaques with a peep toe look good - this sort of thing

MarthaFarquhar · 10/02/2010 19:20

try again

traceybath · 10/02/2010 19:21

Flesh coloured tights with sandals - no.

But cool contrasting colour opaques with peep toes - fine and fashionable.

YoureGorgeous · 10/02/2010 19:22

i liek wiht opaques

tartyhighheels · 10/02/2010 19:22

no no no no no

cheeryface · 10/02/2010 19:24

ah right ok. there seems to be lots of open toed shoes around and i would not be going bare legged no siree
so, as long as i went opaque , they could be an option

EdgarAllenSnow · 10/02/2010 19:31

never invisible enough, are they?

traceybath · 10/02/2010 19:33

Definitely don't go for invisible - thats almost as bad as though clear plastic bra straps.

Stinkermink · 10/02/2010 19:45

Opaque is fine-ish but if you're over forty and not really that trendy then steer bloody clear. Reminds me of my mum in socks and Scholls.

Long skirt/trousers- open toes (pedicured toes only) good
Open toe tights with open toe shoes no.
Tights with open toe shoes no.
Opaque tights with a seam across and open toed shoes - definately no.

It's winter. Why not boots? Ankle boots with thick tights and skirt ok.

Need to know the rest of the outfit really!
