Where can I get a belt to hold up my trousers when they don't have belt loops?

They are too big and end up too long.

Any ideas please? I tried a normal belt but was useless.

Can you do adjustments? Nip in the waist?

I can sew but I don't want to do anything drastic in case I ruin them or put weight on. I knew I should have bought the other size.
