is there any that is affordable? am horrified by price tags of £50+ for vile bits of purple lycra, but equally mortified by my usual attire of cycling shorts and fading green oversized vest top from H+M. nice image huh! oh yes, added to which some greying Primark sports socks. am a bit tired of looking such a scruffian but on the other hand not keen on forking out a fortune just to sweat on a treadmill. I don't need too much boob support, being A cup. Inspiration anyone?

Sweatty Betty is probably generally your £50+ for purple lycra, but look at their sale section, you can often get bargains.

Otherwise M&S sometimes has some decent sportswear, or I've often got cheap Nike / Adidas etc. tops cheaply from some of the big sports shops (JJB, Sports Direct etc.) or online you could try Wiggle, I've had some good running stuff from there.

I agree. You can get some nice stuff in M&S. You can also find decent branded stuff online (ebay, sales sections of sports clothing websites). Sweaty Betty has nice stuff in the sale.

PS. Do you need proper sports gear? If it's something like yoga I'd just get a decent pair of leggings and a nice top from H&M or Uniqlo. Unless you're seriously sporty I reckon you only need to fork out for a good sports bra and trainers.

thanks for the tips. I don't need anything proper - i just do the treadmill in the gym and running outdoors....i love yoga stuff but i do aerobic workouts so it would just get all sweaty...

i use running tights + uniqlo top / hoodie for pilates and proper breathable running stuff for outdoors, it really does make a difference for that i've found. you can get in aldi from time to time.

here, this thoosa is nice and good value although there is purple lycra i must admit.
