How do I get "cushiony" lips?

Mine are sort of like this only not as sexy but I want them to look like this.

Should I just forget it?

CatIsSleepy · 09/02/2010 20:39

snog a sofa

(sorry)

RustyBear · 09/02/2010 20:43

Like this

Seriously though, I can't see why you'd want to look like you've been punched in the mouth, like so many slebs seem to these days....

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/02/2010 20:45

Not too mad - more Marilyn Monroe-ish. Just fuller looking. I like matt red lipstick that looks like a 40s/50s film star...

Also, don't know what's going on with MN - this has created two threads somehow.

Rustybear - LOL!

Matt lipstick sounds better - I just remember DD watching that 60 second sleb news thing on one of the satellite channels last time she was home and every other girl on it seemed to have massive lips slathered with shiny gloss, made them look raw and weeping - I just thought ewww....

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/02/2010 20:54

God, no, ewww. Don't want to look like Jordan et al (as if there's much chance of that).

put a blob of concealer or powder or summat in the middle of your bottom lip after your lipstick and then blot it with tissue.

disclaimer: I saw this tip on 'Good Morning Britain' when Anne Diamond presented it. So a long time ago. Works though.

southeastastra · 09/02/2010 20:59

in the second pic the lip is lined slightly outside the edges. agree a matt red is good for making lips look fuller (i have a barry m one which is cheap but great). still too plumpy lips never look natural (imo)

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/02/2010 21:02

southeast not going for natural! Want glammy... Thank you, though. I don't have much luck with the outline outside the lips thing. It's the corners that get me.

Plantsitter - you have just made me laugh! Ann Diamond, ah man...

And rusty bear - you pudding!

Just run into a wall really quickly. Works a charm. (My child did it tonight). Job done.

spikemomma · 09/02/2010 21:29

Belle - this the look you're looking for (click the through link which appears):

pretty

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/02/2010 22:02

Yes, spike that's exactly how I want to look!

Do you mean the make-up effect or actual fat lips?

Too Faced lip injection works. Not enormously on me, but I'm immune to chilis. (Essentially chili oil so avoid if you can't tolerate capsicum.)

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/02/2010 22:23

I meant the make-up effect but now you mention I remember having something years ago that was supposed to plump them up. Maybe I'll try a drop of chilli oil and see how I go!

I've tried everything - only thing that works for me is fillers...
