Should I keep these boots?

I ordered these last week boots

I wanted some cowboy styley boots and these were a big bargain.
However I'm just not sure now. Is it because they are yuck or am I having a crisis of confidence as they aren't my safe cosy uggs?

have to say they aren't to my taste. I think it's the colour. But then you don't have too much to lose if you keep them!

cranky - but I thought mumsnet was FOR telling me what to do?!?

gonna try them again tomorrow when I'm not tired and grumpy from work. I can return to store so just annoying if I don't like them.

I agree with Flightattendant - if you don't love them, then there is no point in buying them, no matter how cheap they are.

It's better to have fewer things that are really nice and you love.

I have learned the hard way, that if I am not sure about something, then that means I should not buy it.

oh poo!

i tried them on again and i'm still not sure AND one of them looks way more worn than the other one on the leather round the ankle so they are going back.

i still want some cowboy style boots so am back on the net while ds naps!

more suggestions would be lovely! i'm looking for something tan/ brown with a small to medium heel if anyone fancies helping!

Toast have a lovely boot called 'Roper' I think but tis a bit ££.

I'm glad you decided to send them back. Never keep something unless you really are sure, iyswim...I always regret it if I dither and keep something I cannot decide about.

You just know when something will be good - if you could just put it on straight away, then and there, and go out somewhere...that's one good test!

flightattendant - hmm think they are a bit straight up and down IYSWIM. also too £ for my budget, especially as ceit card bill is just in! oops!

tethersend yes those ones in la redoute.
The office ones have pointy toes which I'm not keen on as I think they make my feet look too big.
