Ok i have a voucher for a spa, i don't need nails, waxing or massage and i usually just end up spending these on a facial but i fancy something different, what can you recommend. its worth £30 but i'm happy to add to it.

I would really recommend a wrap or a hot stones treatment if they do them - most places will do wraps (floating ones are the best), but not everywhere does the stones.

Really really . I used to go quite often then the credit crunch hit... oh well, there's always my anniversary.

are there different sorts of wraps which one would you choose, i vaguely remember a friend having a seaweed wrap and her skin looking amazing.

DH bought me a day at the salon for Christmas and I haven't decided what to have yet either.

Just had a look . They have algae wrap or mud wrap with hot stone. I'm not sure about the hot stones, it sounds a bit pontetastic to me though, whats the point of them?

Has anyone had a peeling treatment, will they reveal a 20 year old face behind my haggered old one?

Never tried a peeling treatment - have horror of coming out looking like a peeled tomato

Mud is really good and will go well with stones. The stones are usually placed on your back (down your spine) and are then used to massage in a very gentle way. They are nice and smooth and pretty warm but not so hot that they will burn you IYSWIM.

Algae is also good and not smelly!

see a facial and a massage doesn't do it for me at all. I like a massage but i have a lady i know who does themat her house who's really good and facials, i don't know its just lots of rubbing on creams after having loads before my wedding i can honestly say they didn't make a jot of difference, plenty of water a sit in the steam room and a good moisturiser is all you need.

The sap is just Heaven V at virgin gym, certainly not posh or fancy but does the job and minds the kids in creche whilst i'm there

I think you might be best going for the algae wrap - no pummelling of your body in any way (as far as I can remember) and it does leave your skin feeling fantastic

A cathodermie facial is the dogs bollocks of facials.Cal and ask if they dothem.

Just whatever you do, don't have a flotation wrap if you are at all claustrophobic. I freaked out and had a panic attack when I had one.

I love a full body massage myself.

indian head massage is always relaxing.

I had a hot stone treatment/body massage and it was amazing - I felt the effects literally for hours afterwards. Initially, I was sceptical and secretly thought it was going to be a waste of money but twas a birthday treat from my children (courtesy of DH). I'm happy to report that I was wrong BIG time. I'm too practical/tight to have these regularly but I would be more than happy to have it again for my next birthday!

BTW, I had an E'SPA Holistic Total Body Care Treatment which was absolutely fantastic. (kept the brochure for future usage)
