Best Bra for under £20??? Need a 40E.

I am desperate need of a new bra. I went to get measured at Bravissimo about 2 months ago and I am a 40E. I treated myself to a couple of bras which are lovely. But DH has lost his job so can't afford expensive bras anymore. On top of that one of my bras(not bravissimo ones) got destroyed by the washing machine.

Where am I likely to find a decent bra that isn't too expensive?

Thanks.

M & S are doing some in larger sizes at a reasonable price I am a bit bigger than you and got one for £12 & one for £18
Someone told me that Asda had some for £5

I find m&s not supportive enough (I'm an F). Fantasie are good but about £24. I usually buy bravissimo, freya or fantasie ones on ebay or online sales as they're often about £18.
Hope this helps

I hadn't thought of looking on eBay or Asda. I'll have a look on m&s but I have only heard bad things about them.

Have a look in TKMax - there are hundreds in there

I wear Debenhams cotton 2 for £20 size 40E bras. I wash them in the washing machine inside a pillowcase and are comfy and wear well.

try brastop.co.uk

md75 · 08/02/2010 22:28

piratecat · 08/02/2010 22:30

deffo try ebay, go for Fantasie if you can. I'll have a look for you, i love bras. Used to work with them in them etc...!

coldtits · 08/02/2010 22:33

Asda. they really are very good. They give a nice shape.

And NEVER put ANY bra in the washing machine.

piratecat · 08/02/2010 22:38

good bra

great bra

i have this one

Kayzr · 09/02/2010 07:26

Coldtits, do wash yours by hand then? I used too but I just don't have the time at the minute.

I'm a bit dubious about the Asda ones. I just don't know if a £4 bra will be any good.

i sling it in the sink after I wash my face at night, and then hang it on the bathroom radiator.

I've had an Asda bra for 2 months now. I wear it all the time and I have 38 E boobs. It's showing no sign of collapse, and holds them up very well.

Don't buy the £4 ones - get the ones which ar about £7/8.

Kayzr · 09/02/2010 08:36

I would do that but we don't have radiators. We only have those little electric heaters.

MATALAN!!!!!!! £7 i am a 38g and the best fitting bras ever i brought from matalan. black and white half lace cup, the wires sit on my ribcage as supposed to and not like they are about to poke someones eye out by being suspended in the middle of my cleavage like m&s ones.
They also do a few nicely coloured/patterned ones with matching knickers, the complete set comes to £10. Absolute bargain.
I still buy the majoirty of my underwear from Matalan as its been so fab and last really well, and i machine wash and tumble dry my bras as too much of a slatern to handwash and dry over radiator/airing cupboard.

MaineGirl · 09/02/2010 12:11

p.s they go up to a 42G in Matalan.
