I get lovely boots from Ricosta for the dds each year and every year dh wants me to get them Kickers however I just think they look (deep breath) a bit common with the name emblazoned on them and the dangly bit with the logo. So, views please - are Kickers okay or not?

I think Kickers are cool.

TrillianAstra · 07/02/2010 23:35

How old are they?

They may be scarred for life if they don't get kickers - not being cool at school apparently does that to you...

My ds has a lovely pair of brown Kickers at the moment and they have worn well.

I know what you mean about the dangly label though. We have velcro this time so it wasn't an issue but in the past i've just taken it off.

Much depends, I think, on the age of your dds. I share your aversion to conspicuous logos on children's clothing - all those little labels poking out of seams - but they seem inescapable. Logos notwithstanding, I quite like Kickers but for little children I would probably prefer Ricosta as they're generally quirkier (Kickers have looked the same such the 70s).
