Help me find a boyleg swimsuit

Hi,

I'm looking for a one-piece that eliminates the need to depilate in uncomfortable places. I was thinking something more retro/50's looking than extremely sporty. I notice boden have one they call "boyleg", but its still cut up on the leg - I'm looking for something that cuts straight across, like very short shorts. I saw someone in the pool the other day with a nice one but unfortunately didnt get a chance to ask where she got it. oh, and tankinis are out - they always end up slipping up showing my tum, so I'm constantly tugging the top down.

Any ideas?

Will watch with interest - last summer I hunted round for something for the exact same reasons but with no luck (I had left it really late though so didn't have much time to search).

Think I found something uber-expensive online but I can't remember now where it was. Will see if I can find it.

this kind of thing? Though i think theyre dear

cerviniasun · 07/02/2010 11:19

Bronze - OOOH! Those are gorgeous! They're sold out of a lot of them but say new models arriving in march.

Cornsilk - Thanks for those. They're a bit to sporty for my needs (taking the kids swimming), but I might consider them if I decided to swim seriously for fitness

Thanks!

Norkily - you might keep an eye on fatface as summer approaches - I found some boyleg tankinis in the sale last august, they might do them again.

Cant believe I'm swooning over these 50's styles though - i.e. the exact thing my mum wore when I was little. Another example of becoming more like her everyday...

plenty here

NorkilyChallenged · 07/02/2010 18:05

Wah, Bronze, they're great aren't they? £60 a bit steep but then if I take the kids and go on holiday somewhere where the kids will swim.... hopefully it would get a lot of use? Very very very tempting.

Will keep an eye on Fat Face too, thanks!

Couldn't resist popping on as the owner of For Luna and an avid mumsnet user The swimsuits we sell aren't cheap but they honestly last a lifetime and are absolutely miraculous. We import from the US and have deliveries every 2-4 weeks so never out of stock for long.

YoureGorgeous · 08/02/2010 09:45

oh do you have to?
they are either
a) industrial
or b) oddly 1940s
why woudl you watn to dress like vera lynn?

vix206 · 08/02/2010 10:04

They are extremely popular and very flattering. Each to their own but we love them

TheFirstLady · 08/02/2010 14:28

I'm loving the cherry print one, Vix. I'm in the process of losing weight for a much-anticipated beach holiday in the summer, and as soon as I reach target I'm treating myself to one of those suits.

vix206 · 08/02/2010 15:29

Aha - well I'm busy putting weight on so I'm growing out of mine! (I'm 3 months pregnant with my first )

I wouldn't describe any of our swimsuits as industrial, they look beautiful on the outside but underneath there is a lot of support and structuring which I look forward to making the most of after the baby has been born. 12 weeks ago I was a slim size 10 but having already put on a stone I dread to think what size I'm going to end up! ;)

domesticslattern · 08/02/2010 20:15

congrats vix!

I love them but are they a bit, erm, shiny in real life? That's the only thing that's putting me off ordering a red one. The prospect of looking a bit like a Christmas tree ornament.

vix206 · 08/02/2010 22:15

No, it is just that red is very hard to photograph. It is no shinier than any of the other colours. The red is my favourite, its true Special K red (which is why they used it for their anniversary last summer!(
