Just thought I'd share...got a code to use until 14th Feb...you get 25% off several items, including this which I am just making now!!

It applies to all the colours of this skirt, also the pink 'Magic tree' skirt and the kiss/Hug cushion kits.

Nobody?

Honestly, I am not good at sewing but the kits are easy. If you don't mind it looking a bit crap

I absolutely LOVE the kids' clothes but my God they're pricey!

Was it always so? I kind of thought the point of making it yourself was to save some dosh...Did my Mum really make all those dresses for me at an extortionate price? I thought she was being a thrifty hippy!

yy I agree, it used to be cheapish...though I remember buying some stuff from them in the 80s and it was a bit ££.

I am not convinced by the 'fun' aspect either. I have sworn and cursed a LOT in the last 24 hours and ds2 fell asleep on my lap while I was trying to stop fighting with the damn skirt and change his poor nappy!

Oh well...

it is a beautiful print, and now it is nearly finished I feel slightly justified in getting it at £30 odd. Slightly, mind.

fishie · 06/02/2010 16:45

oh dear

Flightattendant · 06/02/2010 17:06

Oh blimey sorry I forgot to put the code. It's 'iloveyou' and you put it in on the checkout page.

Am wearing the skirt. It is comfortable but kind of looks like a tube. What is it about home made clothes?

...and as a finale, have just had to go and sew round the zip properly. I thought I was being clever doing it sort of 'hidden' but sadly it did not stay hidden when on, and began to look rather like a vulva.

Oh, dear. 'should have gone to new look'
