Please recommend an eye make up remover

I have been using Simple Eye Make up remover but it really doesnt do the job at all, don't know if it is too mild or what. Any good products out there?

Clarins, the one that you have to shake to mix, works well for me. I wear Bobby Brown black gel eyeliner and waterproof mascara, and it removes them both without too much rubbing.

No7, it's brilliant.

Avon's one is really good, seems to be gentle and does the job.

Pure grapeseed oil.
Or olive oil.

Thanks for that, I might try the clarins then as I use a lot of their stuff and it agrees with my skin.

sudocrem is what works for me

The blue Clarins one is good but for loads fewer £££ try the Tesco Organic one. Fab.

Liz Earle Eyebright Lotion. Just gorgeous. And effective. And wonderful in the morning for a wake-up.

I opened this to say Simple! Never had a problem with it, but all these oily greasy things would play havoc with my contact lenses.

Body Shop. Been using it for 20 years. I don't buy anything else from Body Shop these days, but have stayed faithful to their eye make up remover.

However I have heard that L'occitaine do a nice one and I'm planning to try that when the loreal runs out!

I was going to recommend simple too, I have found it to be fine.However, I don't wear that much eye makeup.

I use ADERMA Sensifluid or Sensiphase for taking off all my make-up, eye make-up included. Sensiphase is better for eye make-up - it doesn't sting at all. Neither product needs rinsing and a bottle lasts for ages.

My tip is after taking off the rest of your make up and before you use the eye make up remover, rub your eyes gently with a cotton wool pad that you've run under hot water (obviously, if you wash your face with water and some kind of foaming gel, this will already have happened). I find that makes all the difference. I also use the Clarins blue one after that.

I think the absolute best eye make up remover is the Oil Of Olaz cream one (in a tube).

Does not irritate sensitive eyes.

Does take of even water proof mascara and eyeliner beautifully

Is very very gentle, yet effective.

Gently nourishes the sensitive eye area.

Not too $$$$, and lasts ages.

Am about olive oil, or any oil, that would just make my eyes go all foggy...

The body shop eye make up remover is good.

Soap.

I have never been bothered with make up remiver lotion - all that faffing around with cotton wool. Just wash my face with soap and it gets rid of it all, use shampoo in the shower.

Have nice skin so it hasn't ruined it.

I did try that oil cleansing method - however don't think it was any different to my normal soap and water retro method. Then DP wondered why the hell there was a bottle of olive oil in the bathroom and moved it back to the kitchen, never bothered since.

I am so extravagant normally - am really particular about what what i put on my face and spend a fortune on serums, creams, sunblocks, extortionately expensive make up, but have never seen the point in buying cleanser/toner/removers etc.
