i am looking for a pair of long smart boots that i can WALK to work in and still want to wear them home again. i.e; they need to be comfortable for walking in. oh yes, they have to be black aswell. am i asking for too much?

Any more details? Pointy? Rounded? Thick or thin sole? Size?

Hobbs boots are fantastic. So well made.Mine like new and this is third winter I have worn them

Funny that Moondog, my shoemender was recently slagging off Hobbs boots for being made of poor materials.

Mind you, he also had a go at my Duo boots. Which I love.

Not cheap though.

Ah,peopel love slaging off other people's work eh?

Actually the Duo boots have just been reduced again so they might be cheap if you find the right boot in your size!

gosh, i am so sorry. i posted this and then completely forgot i had done it.

info, emm. i am size 6/7 depending on the individual boot. i prefer pointy boots but comfort is more important so not bothered if they are round toed. those links are great, perhaps a bit more than i was expecting to have to pay. are there any others that wouldnt be as expensive?
