'achingly cool'

Arf

LynetteScavo · 01/02/2010 13:46

It's "achingly cool" apparently.

Retro maybe...I'm sure my mum must have an old one at the back of a drawer somewhere.

MadameOvary · 01/02/2010 13:47

Gotta love My-Wardrobe

Yuck. I hated them first time around. They were never cool and never will be - cheap and nasty design and materials.

piratecat · 01/02/2010 13:50

They were cool during Britpop, ala Hoxton times.

I like my dad's silver seiko from about 1982.

GrimmaTheNome · 01/02/2010 13:54

And blazers with rolled up sleeves weren't, aren't and never will be cool either.

Side-achingly cool

I think someone found a bunch in a box and thought "Ooh how very retro, lets flog these for £££'s"
Reminds me of that Harry and Paul "I saw you coming" sketch.

I know a couple of teenagers with these. They couldn't understand why all us 40-somethings were laughing like drains.

MaggieTaSeFuar · 01/02/2010 18:05

i got one for my tenth birthday nearly 30 years ago!. so ugly. there are lovely watches now.

You cheeky feckers. I've got one of those (not in gold though, nor did I pay £60). It's fab, huge yet all it does is light up and beep occasionally. I wear it when I'm dancing to Soft Cell and backcombing my hair.
