and did it work?! I'm fed up of faded and want to go darker - would Dylon in the machine work ok on denim?

I've used Dylon on denim and it takes very well, but beware any trims. I dyed some expensive designer jeans with one of those leather labels on the back and the label went all scrunched up and looked awful - couldn't even cut it off cos it was rock hard. If no weird trims of different fabric though, denim takes dye very well.

Dylon do ( or at least they did)a special dye -'machine wash for denim' it works well. It is supposed to fade slightly with time as denim does and is a traditional denim blue rather than blueblack. It covers up most the fading but not as solidly as the standard machine wash dyes do. It does not cover polyester stiching which is quite useful!
