Prob wrong place but hair looks orange on photo's

My hair is mousey brown but i dye it and have done for years. I have started to notice that it looks orangey in photo's but in RL it looks normal (to me at least!)

WHy would it do that?

artificial light?

Mmmm yes that could be it.

Brown dye, particularly if you've been using it for years, like me, does look orange under lights.

I jumped for joy the day I discovered this, it's purple which neutralises the orange and makes brown hair brown again. I mix it 50/50 with regular conditioner and leave it on for 20 mins once or twice a week.

Oh sorry, i forgot to say that i dye (die?) it "medium ash blonde" which actually is light brown by the time i have washed it off.

Will try and find a recent pic which doesn't show my face - my hair is all tied up today.

ot a different dye to see if that helps (got a neutral one too) otherwise its off to the hairdressers to get it all stripped off and embrace my natural - rather boring - hair colour.

Nothing against orange haired people btw, but this is not nice! (not like a ginger/strawberry blonde-it's orange!)
